System overview
The Kattsafe energy absorber is designed to deploy under excessive load to minimise the chance of severe injury on the user.
The energy absorbing lanyard reduces the fall load by deceleration to under 6kN when used in a free-fall or unrestrained fall.
The internal woven component acts in the same way as a typical shock pack, tearing on impact and reducing the forces in the event of a fall.
